lifelong mischievous sense of humor.

Paul was passionate about sports, dance, and mentoring young
people.   He   excelled   in   football  at  Cookeville  High  School
(senior Capitan) and Tennessee Tech University  as  a  starting
running back most seasons. In 2011, he was enshrined into the
Cookeville Sports Hall of Fame.

Paul coached many high school sports, particularly football.  As
head  coach, in  1963 he  won the state championship with York
Institute  (Jamestown, TN)  High  School.     His   long   coaching
career  spanned  small  and  large  high  schools including York
Institute,   Livingston,   Portland,   and   Hendersonville.   With a
permanent     smile,    optimistic    outlook    and    a    word    of
encouragement, he  was  a  positive  influence  on  many young
lives and most remember him as Coach Anderson.

Special thanks to the kind folks at The Hearth in Hendersonville
for the loving care in Paul’s final days.
